Enrichment Grants
Enrichment Grants are the main method that the Liberty High PTSA uses to support the educational programs at Liberty High School. Funds for the enrichment grants come from donations to the PTSA. Grants are typically awarded three times a year based on an application completed by the requesting staff person.
Who can apply?Any LHS Staff who has a need for items that encourage, excite, and enhance the learning environment and/or experience for Liberty High School students can apply for an enrichment grant. These extra needs and wants for the classroom usually cannot be funded through the normal channels such as department, technology, and district or school general fund monies.
What can LHS Staff apply for?The main forcus of the grants is for for educational and classroom requests. Requests for extra curricular or sports items are typically handled through the Liberty Boosters Club instead of through PTSA. For larger grants, we may ask if the request can be funded through other organizations, such as the Issaquah Schools Foundation grant program. Note that we do not fund field trips.
Some of the past items funded include textbooks, math software, Shakespearian Workshop, science equipment, drums, frames for artwork, Challenge Day, digital cameras, and microphones.
How do you apply for grants? To apply, complete the below application and follow the directions for submittal to the Enrichment Grant committee. The Enrichment Grant Committee may follow-up with you for additional information to ensure that they fully understand the request. Each year, deadlines for submittal are established. The deadlines for the 2009 - 2010 school year are November 1, 2009 and February 1, 2010. If funds allow, we will have a spring award also. (Forms update 03/03/10.)

Liberty Support Fund
The Liberty Support Fund is available to support the needs of the LHS student body in ways outside classroom needs. In line with LH PTSA goals for 2009 - 2010, we are seeking ways to support the physical and mental well-being of students. We will be working with students, staff and parents to identify new areas of need and to also support on-going efforts by the school. If you have an idea for funding, please contact the PTSA at the email listed below.
