You can make a difference at Liberty by volunteering.  There are opportunities to help with a one time event, such as campus beautification or hospitality, or to help with on-going efforts such as working in the attendance office or preparing the newsletter.  Please consider offering your time to make our school a better place!

To volunteer to help at the school or with the PTSA, print out the volunteer form, complete the information, and mail it to the PTSA at the address provided.

The PTSA is also looking for a few people to take on the following vital chair positions:

Campus Beautification
This committee works to improve and maintain Liberty High School Campus, including landscaping, interior public spaces, building maintenance issues and general appearance.  The work is done by volunteers – mainly students – at one to two events per year, typically in the Fall and Spring.  Chairperson time is about 40 hours per event spread over a couple months and the day of the event.

Directory
The LH PTSA puts together a directory of Liberty students and other helpful information at the start of each school year.  The Directory is completed early in the school year and delivered to PTSA members through kidmail.  The chairperson time is about 40 hours during the month of September and early October.

Hospitality
The Hospitality Committee is a large group of volunteers who provide refreshments for Curriculum Night, student recognition breakfasts, Senior interviews, Senior awards night, and other student or family events as identified.  This chairperson position takes about 4 hours per month.

ISF Representative
The Issaquah Schools Foundation is a valuable funding partner in the District.  While PTSA focuses on an individual school, ISF works to increase student achievement, support struggling students and fund professional staff development at every school in the District. The PTSA ISF Representative is responsible for increasing awareness of ISF among parents using newsletter articles, ensuring stickers are on all ISF funded items, talking at PTSA Meetings and coordinating a table at the ISF luncheon in the spring. This chairperson position takes about 1

Parent Education Representative
The Parent Education Representative is primarily responsible for coordinating 3-4 educational opportunities each year for parents in the Liberty Community.  The Parent Ed. Rep can also provide information for the monthly newsletter and website, including  notifying Liberty parents about other educational seminars available throughout the District and community.  (Averages 3 hours per month.)

Reflections
The Reflections Program is a National PTA arts competition. A local competition is held among Liberty students starting in October.  Students create art to represent the annual theme and submit it to the Reflections Chair for judging by local judges.  The Reflections Chair ensures that the National rules are met by the entries and coordinates the judging of entries.  Winning entries at Liberty move on to compete at the District level.  This chairperson position takes about 40 hours - mainly in the fall with some effort in the winter related to the District exhibit.
